Does the thought of going to the dentist make you feel anxious, nervous, or afraid? If so, sedation dentistry may be for you. There are many different forms of sedation that dentists can offer patients, ranging from mild conscious sedatives to anesthesia that results in a deep sleep. At our practice, we are happy to offer deep sedation for those who experience dental anxiety or fear.

Deep sedation involves taking medications administered by a nurse anesthetist that will make you nearly unconscious during your treatment. It results in a higher state of relaxation than is typically achieved with conscious sedation methods, while not achieving complete unconsciousness as with general anethesia. You will be able to be easily awakened, and will also recieve a local numbing agent during treatment. The goal is for you to be completely relaxed throughout your treatment.

If you receive sedation as part of your treatment, our dentists and team will ensure that you remain safe and comfortable throughout the procedure. Prior to your treatment, our team will review any pre- and post-treatment instructions that will help make sure your visit goes smoothly.

To learn more about deep sedation dentistry, we invite you to call or visit us today. We are here to help make your dental care as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!
